Commissions

I am available for commission work! If you are interested in having a portrait drawn in charcoal of your beloved pet, your child, or even your favorite animal, then please contact me through the “place a commission order” button above.

Because I want to be sure I can create the best possible representation of your subject, the quality of the photo you submit is important. Below are good examples of acceptable photos I can use as a reference for a drawing. The subject must be clearly visible (not blurry or far away) and looking toward the camera. It’s helpful if you submit them already in black and white, but it’s not required. I reserve the right to deny any commission request if I feel the photograph doesn’t meet my standards.

Typically my drawings are completed in 8 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches size, or 8 1/2 inches x 10 1/2 inches. The 1/2 inch around all four sides is for a white border which allows the holder to grip the drawing without smudging it. This can easily be covered if you were to use an 8 inches x 8 inches, or 8 inches x 10 inches size frame. It’s your choice which size I use. If you would like to request a different size for your drawing, then please specify this when placing an order, and we can work it out!
